Renae Chambers grew up in the South, with dreams alternating between being an artist and running her own business. Along the way she found a husband, children, an assortment of pets, and a career she never imagined yet was somehow fitting—as an art director and manager in a game publishing company.

Renae has enjoyed working with some of the top artists in fantasy illustration—including Larry Elmore, Jeff Easley, Donato Giancola, and Steve Youll, along with a host of other up-and-coming artists. She is also pleased to have helped Margaret Weis Productions grow from a small start-up to a successful game and book publisher that has produced best-selling and award-winning titles.

Renae lives with her husband, writer and game-designer Jamie Chambers, and the rest of their family in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, the place where the role playing game hobby was born.
