BETSY PALMER is probably best known for playing Jason Voorhees' mother in Friday the 13th (1980), but her career as an actress began many years before. In the vintage days of early TV she was a regular panelist on 'I've got a Secret' as well as appearing in such shows as; 'Inner Sanctum,' 'Lux Video Theatre,' 'Studio One,' 'Climax' and many more. She has appeared with Jack Lemmon in Mister Roberts (1955), as well as The Long Gray Line (1955), The Last Angry Man (1959), It Happened to Jane (1959), The True Story of Lynn Stuart (1958), The Tin Star (1957) and with Joan Crawford in Queen Bee (1955) . Other appearances in genre films include; Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981), The Fear: Resurrection (1999), Bell Witch: The Movie (2007) and Penny Dreadful (2005), in which she was awarded Best Actress Winner at the Terror Film Festival. She is currently scheduled to appear in a film titled Black Friday.
