How to get to the venues that will be hosting I-CON 28
ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED HERE, ESPECIALLY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
I-CON 28 will use three venues:
- Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) Grant Campus in Brentwood
The Health, Sports, Education/Convention Center

I-CON memberships are sold ONLY at SCCC. Those who have pre-registered must also pick up their badges at SCCC. No memberships will be sold at either hotel; if you arrive at either hotel and want to purchase a membership, you will be directed to SCCC.

Getting to I-CON by Car
- Suffolk County Community College Grant Campus, Brentwood
From the east or west take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 53. Follow signs to Wicks Road. Go south 1/2 mile on Wicks Road to campus entrance on right-hand side.

From Ronkonkoma/Islip:
Driving Directions: 454 West (crossing Rte. 495), right onto Motor Parkway. At third light, turn right onto Bedford Ave. Left into hotel parking lot.From the East/West I-495 (Long Island Expressway/LIE):
Driving Directions: Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 58. At traffic light make a left (Old Nichols Rd). At next traffic light make left (Express Drive North). Hotel will be about 1/4 mile on the right.From Southern State: Take Southern State Parkway to the Sagtikos Parkway. (Signage will read Sunken Meadow State Park/Sagitakos Parkway) Take Sagtikos Parkway to exit SM1E (Long Island Expressway East/I-495). Take Long Island Expressway to Exit 58. At first light make a left. (Old Nichols Road) At next light make a left. (Express Drive North) Hotel will be 1/4 mile on right.

Take the Long Island Expressway/I-495 to exit 57. At 2nd traffic light make a right. Travel about 5 miles - once you cross over Lakeland Avenue (near Islip MacArthur Airport), the hotel is on the left.

Getting to I-CON by Train
- Suffolk County Community College Grant Campus, Brentwood
Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Brentwood train station ( schedule link) on the Ronkonkoma branch. Taxi service should be available at the station and the S3A bus route (schedule link - see page 2). From the Brentwood train station, SCCC is .75 mile west on Suffolk Avenue to Wicks Road and then 1.75 miles north. - Islandia Marriott
Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Central Islip train station (schedule link) on the Ronkonkoma branch. Taxi service should be available at the station and the S3D bus route (schedule link - see page 2). From the Central Islip train station, the Islandia Marriott is about 2.25 miles east on Suffolk Avenue (which turns into Old Nichols Road about 1.1 miles from the station, crossing Veterans Highway) to Express Drive North, then approximately .4 miles west from the intersection of Express Drive North and Old Nichols Road. - Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma
Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Ronkonkoma train station (schedule link) on the Ronkonkoma branch. Taxi service should be available at the station and the S57 bus route (schedule link - see page 2) makes stops at the Ronkonkoma train station and passes the hotel on its way to Sayville. From the Ronkonkoma train station, the Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma is about 1.4 miles south on Smithtown Avenue, then about .2 miles South on Lakeland Avenue to Veterans Highway, and about .25 miles east from the intersection of Veterans Highway and Lakeland Avenue on Veterans Highway.
Getting to I-CON by Bus
IMPORTANT: Suffolk County Transit buses do not run on Sunday. I-CON will be providing buses between venues throughout the weekend and on Sunday. Additionally, verify your travel plans and that there have been no changes in schedule or services posted here.

The S3A, S33, and S41 routes all pass the Brentwood Campus of SCCC. Click on the route name for a link to its schedule. - Islandia Marriott
The S3D is the only bus that appears to pass within a reasonable walking distance to the Islandia Marriott Hotel. Click on the route name for a link to its schedule.
- Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma
The S54 and S57 both pass the Holiday Inn Ronkonkoma Hotel and the S59 appears to pass within a reasonable walking distance. Click on the route name for a link to its schedule.
Getting to I-CON by Plane
The closest airport to our venues is the Long Island MacArthur Airport in Islip (ISP). Public transit is available from the airport (see the airport's web site link above), including Suffolk County Buses and the Long Island Rail Road, Ronkonkoma branch. More direct flights can often be found into John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA). JFK is the most accessible via mass transit. You may also consider Newark Airport (NWK) in NJ, as it is relatively close to New York City, but most travelers will prefer JFK or LaGuardia, if possible. Once you reach New York City, make your way to New York Pennsylvania Station (Penn Station) on 33th Street and 8th Avenue or Jamaica Station via JFK AirTrain and follow the directions for getting to I-CON by train.
