Adam-Troy Castro's short fiction has received five nominations for the Nebula, two for the Hugo, and one for the Stoker. The novella "The Astronaut From Wyoming," written by Adam in collaboration with Jerry Oltion, recently shared the 2007 Seiun Award for best short fiction translated into Japanese. His nonfiction includes The Unauthorized Harry Potter, My Ox Is Broken: Roadblocks, Detours, Fast Forwards and Other Memoriaable Moments From TV’s The Amazing Race(both BenBella books), and regular DVD reviews for Scifiweekly.Com. Adam's most recent books, both in March 2008, are Emissaries From The Dead (Harper Collins Eos), first in a series of spacefaring murder mysteries starring his prickly heroine Andrea Cort, and The Shallow End of the Pool (Creeping Hemlock Press), a horrific nightmare about a family with a brutal method of resolving disputes between Mom and Dad.

Forthcoming are more Andrea Cort novels and the collaborative nonfiction novel Fake Alibis. Adam lives in Miami with his lovely wife Judi and a rotating assortment of insane cats that includes Uma Furman and Meow Farrow.
