"The Great Luke Ski", writes, records and performs comedy music on a
variety of pop culture subjects ranging from Lord of the Rings and
Star Wars to Spider-Man and Pirates of the Caribbean. Luke has
enjoyed repeated success on "the Dr. Demento Show". He's had a song
in the top five of Dr. Demento's yearly "Funny 25" countdown every
year since 2002, with songs like "Peter Parker" (featuring regular I-
CON Cabaret comedy rap act "Sudden Death"), "Stealing Like A Hobbit",
and "Vader Boy", earning himself the position of "Dr. Demento's Most
Requested Artist of the 21st Century".
Luke's music has also been
heard on ManCow's Morning Madhouse and various college and morning
shows across the country. Over the past decade, Luke has released 6
albums, and in 2006, a DVD featuring concert footage, music videos,
and more, titled "The Ego Has Landed". Luke Ski's hilarious use of
props and costumes while performing his parodies have made him a fan
favorite at dozens of Science Fiction and Gaming Conventions all
across the midwest and beyond, including GenCon Indy and Star Wars
Celebration (Indianapolis), GenCon SoCal (Anaheim), San Diego Comic-
Con, Dragon*Con (Atlanta), Creation's 40th Ann. Star Trek Convention
(Las Vegas), Origins and MarCon (Columbus), Archon (St. Louis),
MarsCon and ConVergence (Minneapolis), WindyCon, CapriCon, DucKon,
2BCon-Tinued, and HalloweeM (Chicago), and many, many more.
Luke has
also performed at numerous showings of the "Rocky Horror Picture
Show" across the Midwest, and at many other venues that support funny
music. Luke resides near Lake Geneva, WI, with his sister, Amy, and
her two insanely hyper dogs, Emma and Yukon. When home, Luke enjoys
playing with his TiVo, singing Karaoke, trying to keep up with
movies, and finding new reasons to hang out at Kinko's, if he can
find one. Please visit http://www.LukeSki.com and
