Craig Wichman

CRAIG WICHMAN studied acting with Stella Adler, and has worked in all media: Off-Broadway, Regional Theater, Television, Corporate Video, and the 'Theater of the Imagination.' He is featured in the current films THE CHANGELING (directed by Jay Stern) and in the title role (!) of THE DEVIL YOU KNOW (directed by William Rogers - screened at I-CON 25.)
Inspired long ago by Orson Welles' production of THE WAR OF THE WORLDS, Craig has become by happy accident something very rare in the 21st Century: a seasoned radio actor. He is the founding actor/writer/producer of QUICKSILVER RADIO THEATER, a group of seasoned New York performing artists who are dedicated to using the classic Radio Drama form (full cast, layered sound effects, and musical score) to present stories worth telling, executed with both talent and heart. Their productions have won several National awards, and been widely Broadcast and Webcast. Among the many characters performed by Wichman there are 'Sherlock Holmes,' and 'The Monster' in FRANKENSTEIN. He has also acted in the 'True Sci-Fi' series OTHER REALITIES; as well as in CHINATOWN, USA; SIMON STUDIOS PRESENTS; and the current TWILIGHT ZONE audio series.
He regularly appears with Golden Age of Radio veterans at the Friends of Old Time Radio Convention, most recently as 'Cassius' in a recreation of Welles' classic 1938 broadcast of JULIUS CAESAR. Featured in the cast were two original members of The Mercury Theater, as well as - of interest to this convention's attendees
- Simon Jones, the original 'Arthur Dent.'
