Nathan Williams
Website: http://AboutSF.com Nathaniel Williams is a graduate student in English at the University of Kansas, where he works for the Center for the Study of Science Fiction. Nate maintains the AboutSF.com website, coordinates volunteer SF activities worldwide through the Center, and directs other AboutSF programs. He is working on educational content offered through the University of Kansas and on the "Science Fiction Roadshow" available via AboutSF as a one- or two-day program for educators. He also teaches composition and technical writing at the University of Kansas. Before coming to KU, Nate worked as a tech writer by day and musician by night. He wrote online help and training manuals for Covansys and PDA Software Services. During the same time, he performed around the Midwest as the singer/songwriter for a roots rock band. Nate has an M.A. in English and a B.A. in Communication (with a minor in International Studies), both from Truman State University. He also taught at Missouri Valley College, instructing courses in American literature, composition, and the history of rock and roll. He's also authored a number of speculative fiction short stories, most of which incorporate his love of music and American history. He lives in Lawrence, Kansas. |
