Keith R.A. DeCandido's first I-CON was #7 in 1988, which he attended as a college student, and where he got to meet Harlan Ellison for the first time. He came back for #10 in 1991, where he was part of a team covering the show for the public-access TV show The Chronic Rift. Over the years, he has been back as an editor, an author, and even one year volunteered for security. Keith has written over thirty novels, over two dozen short stories, a dozen novellas, and several pieces of nonfiction in a variety of media universes, including Star Trek (in all its incarnations, plus some new ones), Serenity, Andromeda, Farscape, Marvel Comics, Xena, Magic: the Gathering, and more. His most recent work includes two Blizzard Games prequel novels: the recently released World of Warcraft: Cycle of Hatred and the forthcoming Starcraft: Ghost: Nova. Coming in September is his Buffy the Vampire Slayer novel Blackout, which focuses on a previous Slayer, Nikki Wood, as well as Spike, taking place in New York City in 1977. Look for several new Star Trek projects from Keith in 2007, including a post-Nemesis novel that will be part of The Next Generation's 20th anniversary celebration. Keith is also an editor, anthologist, book packager, and professional musician this year, in fact, he adds "musician" to the number of modes in which he has attended I-CON, as he will be joining the Boogie Knights for their concerts.
