The Art Show at I-CON is one of the largest SF and Fantasy themed art shows in the country, and getting larger every year! We have added more Professional and up and coming artists, more display space, as well as more live art demos, seminars, artistsŐ panels and instruction sessions.
Art Show Schedule *NEW*
FRIDAY March 23rd 2007
- 4:00PM: Set up
- 6:00PM - 9:30PM: Artshow is open to all
Saturday March 24th 2007
- 10AM-8:00PM: Artists Reception for participants only
- 8:00PM-9:00PM: Beverages-crackers-cheese party Invite only
Sunday March 25th 2007
- 10:00AM-4:00PM:
- 4:00PM-5:00PM: break down.
All art must be removed by 5pm or ICON can not be held responsible for your art.
This year we are proud to have our Artist Guest of Honor Steve Ferris. As well other great professional artists like Scott Grimando, William OŐConnor, Mike Okamoto, David O Miller, Jeff Menge, Romik Safarian, Michael Apice, Mike Lilly, Buzz, Donato and our special guest Larry Elmore.
We are very happy to have Larry with us for the first time. Larry has been creating fantasy and science fiction art for over 20 years. He also worked as a staff artist for TSR, Inc. from 1981 to 1987. Larry will be giving a demo, selling his work and signing autographs.
We have Mike Watt editor for Sirens of Cinema Magazine who will be writing another article about the goings on at the ICON Art Show as well as being one of our Esteemed Judges for our 4th Annual ICON Artists Awards.
We will have more horror artists like Romik Safarian and Rick Frane.
We have great seminars and demos from our best.

Artists get the real help here. From printing companies to web communities, you will find resources to help you in your art career.
There will be a NEW Art Show ArtistŐs Alley associated with the I-CON's Art Show. Pro Comic Illustrators and painter alike will be taking commissions on the spot from fans at low prices! Watch as your drawing or painting is done right before your eyes.
Display space guidelines are as follows:
This year we are introducing ICON 26 Art Show Kids Corner . Kids from Kindergarten to middle school may submit Fantasy, Sci Fi, or Horror art to be included in the art show for FREE. If you would like to enter please send a jpg of the art that you want in the show to artshow@iconsf.org.
If your work is accepted it must be framed to be hung in the show. We are looking forward to seeing more submissions this year.

Art Show Location
The art show is now located in our new wonderful space in the Pritchard Gym Small (it is anything but small), be sure to take a moment and look at some the finest SF and Fantasy themed art on the planet. Our print shop has also expanded, offering Hundreds of prints at very reasonable prices, all suitable for framing. We are also inviting this year 2000 art buyers, and art directors in the New York area.
CALLING ALL ARTISTS!!! A CHANCE TO DISPLAY YOUR WORK!
This year the ICON art show is expanding the space available to up and coming artists! We have
added more hanging space, and are eagerly looking for all artists interested in displaying their art work. IconŐs art show draws thousands of viewers, authors, editors, and art directors. In 2005,
IconŐs art show will hold a special review for all art directors, art buyers and publishers, so if you want your art seen, IconŐs Art Show is the place to display it!

You must submit links or include 2-3 examples of art as JPEGS to be considered for inclusion in the art show.
Be sure to put the words ART SHOW in the subject line!

- I-CON can accept NO mail in art. If you wish to display your art and cannot attend the convention, contact a local representative to act as your
agent. This agent will be solely responsible for shipment, hanging, collecting proceeds, and picking up unsold art. Your representative must have a
signed release form from you before art can be displayed. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
- All art show participants, excluding specifically invited guests, must purchase a membership pass. This pass is available at the door or by
writing the address above.
- Artists or representatives must hang and remove their own art. Hardware will be supplied. Art MUST is collected by closing time on Sunday, March
26th, from 3-4 PM. I-CON will do its best to protect uncollected art. Any art not collected by 4 PM will be held by I-CON for the Artist. However,
art left after 4 PM is NOT I-CON's responsibility.
- I-CON collects a 10% commission on all art and print sales. Original art will be sold by I-CON and a 10% commission collected. Any prints sold at
I-CON also have 10% commission on the sale, with a minimum charge of $15 to enter prints in the print shop. You will not be charged both a print shop
commission and table fee for print sales. All sales MUST be handled by an I-CON representative. Artists selling work directly will NOT be invited
back to future I-Cons. Please help us by abiding by this rule.
- I-CON Art Show Representatives reserve the right to reject any artists application or specific art, solely at I-CON Art Show Representatives
discretion.
