PayPal Membership Purchases
PayPal membership purchases are no longer available. To purchase your membership for I-CON 25, please come to the Box Office at the convention.
- You MUST include names and mailing addresses for all members in the "additional names" box.
- We require a shipping address as part of your membership registration for identification purposes. We will not
actually be mailing you the membership. Instead you pick it up at the convention.
- You can pick up your memberships at the pre-registration table in the Sports Complex on the Stony Brook campus
during the convention box office/registration hours. If you have ordered a discounted membership through PayPal
you must show your current, valid school ID in order to verify your student status.
- You will not receive a paper receipt from I-CON. Your only receipt is provided at the end of your PayPal
transaction, usually they send a confirmation email. Please print this out and bring it with you to verify your
purchase! We also ask that each person who has a membership ordered in their name bring some form of ID as we
want to ensure that the correct pre-ordered membership is received by the correct person!
- If possible, come early! Our busiest times at registration and pre-registration are typically Friday
6:00pm - 8:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 11:30am - 1:30pm. If you can arrive before these times, you'll avoid the
crowds!
Important Membership Information
You must purchase a membership to attend I-CON 25. Even if you just want to browse in the
Dealer's Room, or play in one roleplaying game, you must buy a membership first!
What's a membership? We don't sell tickets to our annual convention. Instead, we sell you a
membership to the event. Don't worry, it's not complicated. Anyone can purchase a membership and all we require is
your name, address and payment.
Student Membership Discount - Student memberships are available for any current junior high, high
school, or college students. If you purchase your student membership through the mail, you must include a photocopy
of your valid, current student ID. If your junior high or high school does not issue IDs, we will accept a letter
of verification from your school's office on school stationary. Have your ID with you to purchase memberships at
all locations, and when you pick up your badge at the convention.
NOTE: We are now extending this offer to all teachers and educators. Should your employer not
issue IDs, we will accept a letter similar to that required for the student membership, above.
Stony Brook University Faculty/Staff Discount - If you are employed by Stony Brook University,
you can get a membership to I-CON at the student rate. SBU Fac/Staff discount is available by PayPal, mail, and at
the door. (Not available from vendors.) You must present your employee ID when you purchase your membership,
include a photocopy of the ID with your mail-in registration form, or verify your eligibility at the
pre-registration desk if ordering through PayPal. Limit two per ID.
Seniors Discount - Senior citizens (over the age of 62) also qualify for the student rate with
valid ID.
Confirmation Letters will NOT be sent for advance purchases except by request. Your cancelled
check is your receipt. If you want a confirmation letter, you must send a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE)
with your order form by March 1, 2006. NO confirmation letters will be sent for any orders received after 3/1/2006.
If you need a receipt for a PayPal transaction, please print the information provided for your records.
Group Discounts - Group discounts are only available for memberships purchased in advance by mail
for Three Day Memberships only. (10% for groups of 10-19; 20% for 20 or more). Please contact
memberships@iconsf.org if you have any further questions about group
rates.
Purchase of any membership through PayPal indicates acceptance of the policies above as well as those located on
our Membership and Policies pages.
