An optometrist by profession (practicing in Lynbrook and Bayside), Dr. Howard Margolin is best known as the host/producer of 'Destinies - the Voice of Science Fiction,' a position he has held since 1984. 'Destinies,' which airs Fridays at 11:30 PM on Stony Brook University's WUSB, 90.1 FM (rebroadcasts can be heard at www.captphilonline.com/Destinies.html), has provided in-depth coverage of I-CON since its inception in 1983. Regarded not only for his thorough eye exams, but also for his meticulous attention to production details, Dr. Margolin has done audio editing for www.Newsday.com and was a contributor to John Kenneth Muir's The Encyclopedia of Superheroes on Film and Television as well as Jerry Weist's 100 Greatest Comic Books. For at least two weeks before, the night of I-CON's first day of operation and one week after, his 'Destinies' show is involved exclusively with I-CON themes.
