Designed to encourage community involvement and the open sharing of ideas and information, community.iconsf.org is our new hub for everyone who is interested in Science Fiction, Fact, and Fantasy (and Gaming, Anime, and everything else you might see at I-CON - and likely a whole lot more!). MK Reed is 25 years old, and in that time, she has worn many hats: projectionist, dental hygienist, ski instructor, Italian ice dealer, journalist, among many other things. But she mostly considers herself a cartoonist.

MK is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she had a series of comics run off and on for two years in the daily student paper, and founded a comics magazine, Berserker. After college, MK wrote and illustrated her first graphic novel, "Catfight," a story about three teenage girls fighting over a boy. Since then she's done several short pieces for small press outlets like "Not My Small Diary" and "Other Magazine." She has nearly completed her next book, Pale Fire, the story of girl falling in love with a possible arsonist.

MK is also currently the editor of the next Friends Of Lulu Broad Appeal women's comic anthology, to be released later this year. She has recently begun a blog that hopes to instill nerds with proper etiquette and pass along helpful, everyday advice, which can be found at nerdiquette.blogger.com.
