In 1974 Butch began making welded steel assembled sculptures with industrial themes. In the early 1980's he built a foundry and taught himself to cast bronze. He uses the lost wax method of casting, with ceramic shell molds. Butch's current style is bronze fantasy sculpture. his work is distinctly characterized by intricate details, mechanical components, humor, and surprise.

For the past thirty years, sculpture has been his sole career. Butch, his wife Susan, and son, Conan, all design the sculpture. He is an award winning artist who continues to challenge himself with new ideas. Honeck Sculptures are sold all over the world and now available on the world wide web.
