Eric Knight

Eric Knight is the founder and President of Remarkable Technologies, Inc. He is also the Avionics Team Manager of the Civilian Space eXploration Team (CSXT) -- the group that made history by building and launching the world's first amateur rocket into space on May 17, 2004.

Eric is an accomplished inventor, with 37 inventions and a number of patented products. He was selected as a top American inventor by both the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Intellectual Property Owners. As an inventor, Eric has appeared on numerous television programs, including as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Eric was one of the very early pioneers in online marketing, creating what many believe to be the first global e-commerce system in 1985. His "Download America BBS" became one of the world's largest online services, with nearly 10,000 subscribers and users from over 70 countries. Of particular note, his business accepted online credit card orders for software purchases over a decade before the practice became widespread on the Web.

For I-CON 24, Eric will discuss the challenges and obstacles he and his fellow team members overcame during their multi-year quest to launch the first amateur rocket into space. He'll also unveil a new, phenomenal endeavor -- something that may be even more "out of this world" than the rocket launch!
