Amateur Game Programmers Showcase
Rules and Terms
- All submissions must be received by March 28, 2005.
- All submissions of original programs must be sent by one of the original author or authors.
- All submissions of Mods and Total Conversions must be sent by one of the original author or authors of the Mod or Total
Conversion.
- All submissions must include installation instructions and/or an installation program. In the case of Mods or Total Conversions,
these instructions must include an indicator of which other product or products is required by the Mod or Total Conversion.
- All submissions must be in the form of Recorded CDs.
- All submission media (the CDs) become property of I-CON.
- I-CON reserves the non-exclusive right to duplicate the submission media for the purposes of archives and backups and for
internal use.
- I-CON reserves the right to retain the submission media, and to present and demonstrate the contents during the I-CON 24
convention and at any time thereafter.
- I-CON reserves the right to copy or install the contents of the distribution media to one or more computing systems for the
purposes of evaluation and of presentation and demonstration.
- I-CON reserves the right to capture screen images from programs submitted, and use these images in publicity material.
- All other rights of "ownership", including the right to distribute copies of the programs and data submitted, remain with the
author or authors of the files.
- I-CON assumes no responsibility for the inclusion of third-party materials within the submission. Legal responsibility for
unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials within a submission is the sole responsibility of the author or authors of
the submission.
- Any submission which is available for distribution at a fee, no matter the amount, at any time prior to April 8, 2005, will be
considered Commercial and excluded. This includes any software marketed as Shareware or as a demonstration of a commercial
product.
- Any submission whose author or authors are found to be offering copies of their submission for sale during the convention will be
excluded, and further punitive action may be taken.
- Any submission bearing the brand logo of any software development group with prior commercially-released software will be
considered Commercial and excluded.
- I-CON reserves the right to exclude any submission from presentation, At Will, with or without "cause".
- I-CON may request permission from the authors to forward copies of the distribution media to commercial software developers or
publishers on the behalf of the author or authors. Inclusion of a given submission shall not be contingent on the granting of such
permission.
