More to come

I-CON 24 Film Track in co-operation with the Performance Track is pleased to present the Rocky Horror Picture Show. On the big screen and live on stage. See the Performances page for more details.

Along with a new lineup of guests, events and film presentations, the Film Track is planning an encore of some of the popular and entertaining panels from I-CON 23 with return visits of equally popular guests. Our (ghastly?) guest of honor again (yes, again) is the incomparable Conrad Brooks. Conrad is one of the few surviving members of the Edward D Wood, Jr ensemble of players who have appeared in some of the worst (yes, worst) films of all time. This, of course, includes the immortal PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. Having been dubbed the 'Gielgud of Bad Movies' by a critic of the New York Times (a label which he embraces fondly), his business card reads: 'Conrad Brooks, Movie Star'. Conrad will again be lurking about to relate his memoirs of other 'turkey' films like BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS and more current titles like HILLBILLY MONSTER & SON OF JEN-GAL.

Other Film Track guests include; Delightful (and I-CON regular) Scream Queen Debbie Rochon. Debbie will enhance our panels and relate experiences from her scores of independent films as well as presenting samples her latest screen appearances. Prolific author and highly informative author John Kenneth Muir, will talk about the best (and, of course, the not so best) of Science Fiction TV. He is the author of such entertaining and informative published works as Terror Television, The Encyclopedia of Superheroes on Film and Television, Wes Craven, The Films of John Carpenter and Eaten Alive at a Texas Chainsaw Massacre and will introduce new works like Unseen Force, and Best in Show. Film Historian and I-CON staff member Jim Knusch (the alter ego of Professor Kinema) will be discussing classic (and equally not so classic) Science Fiction films as well as moderating panels. Lovely Scream Queen and dancer Traci Mann will be relating stories pertaining to low budget filmmaking and working with companies like Troma.

Speaking of screams, joining I-CON this year are two more actors who are no strangers to indie horrors; Michael Thomas and Brendan Faulkner. Michael Thomas has worked in mainstream films as well as low budget thrillers. His makeup career stretches back to the 1970s with his truly horrific makeup for John Carradine for the film THE SENTINEL (1977). Brendan Faulkner has worked in films lensed in his native Connecticut as well as here on Long Island. Other guests will include; Radio actor and producer Craig Wichman, Independent filmmaker Keith J Crocker, Science Fiction radio personality Dr Howard Margolin of WUSB?s weekly Destinies (the Voice of Science Fiction) radio show, Tony Tellado of Sci-Fi Talk, and the ?Flick Filosopher? herself; Mary Ann Johanson.

Among the panel topics and special events will be; (Science Fiction, Horror and other bizarre topics) on Public Access shows, talks on current and classic Science Fiction Films and TV shows, Guilty Pleasures (very popular with the past few I-CONs), as well as a very active discussion on Science Fiction from Radio to Cinema; Films Based on Radio Works. Also planned are the ever popular seminars on Independent Filmmaking and Film Makers that have become I-CON staples. A few other surprises as well as other guests are also in the works.

The I-CON Film Track is supported in part by Buena Vista Pictures and the upcoming feature film "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

British Sci-Fi

Get Lost In Time, with William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton! Or perhaps you would like to go to the Pyramids of Mars with Tom Baker? Or maybe a stop to Rimmerworld with the crew of Red Dwarf? These are just some of the episodes that we received from the BBC! Please stop by to see what other fantastic episodes that we have for your viewing pleasure! For BBC related inquiries, please contact: bbctv@iconsf.org

YOU ASKED FOR THEM! WE DELIVERED!

"ALL IRREGULARITIES WILL BE HANDLED BY THE FORCES CONTROLLING EACH DIMENSION"
NEVER BROADCAST IN THE US - We will be showing the 2nd series of "Sapphire and Steel". This series deals with 2 mysterious time travelers, Joanna Lumely (Sapphire) and David McCallum (Steel) assigned to keep the time and space continuim in balance. Because there was such a demand for this series at last years con, and we don't want you to miss out on any events, we have intentionally scheduled this series throughout the convention so that you can view the entire series at sometime over the 3 days. The full schedule will be posted on this site soon as well as in hand outs during the convention when you purchase your memberships.

"ALL VEHICLES PROCEED TO NEAREST RAMP AREA"
We will be showing 18 episodes of "Stingray", Gerry Anderson's supermarionation 60's British TV series. Originally intended for children, it also has a huge legion of grown up fans (ala "Doctor Who"). Not only is this Anderson's first color series, it also marked the first series where the marionettes (NOT PUPPETS!) changed facial expressions. This family friendly series deals with the discovery of the undersea races and its tyranical leader Titan's attempts at world domination. The only thing in his way are the WASP's - World Aquanaut Security Patrol, and its high tech submarine Stingray.

We also want to know what you want to see at I-CON 25. Do you want any other Anderson series, such as Supercar, Fireball XL-5, Space: 1999, Space Precint, TerraHawks? At Icon 23 we had Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO, Secret Service - did you want more of them? Or past fan favorites like Blakes 7, The Avengers (X-men fans - we did show the classic "A Touch of Brimstone" episode with the Hellfire club, and for Whovian's "From Venus with Love" with Jon Pertwee), or The Prisoner? Perhaps more American series, like Greatest American Hero, Airwolf, Hercules? We want to know! Send your comments YEAR ROUND to our film staff at TVSF@ICONSF.ORG.

You can contact our TV programming staff at tvsf@iconsf.org.
