Friends of Lulu

This national, not-for-profit organization is geared toward bringing more women and girls into comic books as professionals and readers, along with publicizing today's many female creators.

Check us out at www.friends-lulu.org and www.friends-lulu.org/ny, and please be sure to stop by the New York chapter's table for freebies and fun. Plus, don't miss our Lulu Jeopardy! game show this weekend...a trivia contest with prizes!

Abby Denson

Website: http://www.abbycomix.com
Abby Denson has scripted Powerpuff Girls comics, Simpsons Comics, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, Disney Adventures, and comics for Nickelodeon Magazine. Plus, she draws and writes her own comics, most recently Pop Secret for XY Magazine, Deadsy Cat & Kissy Kitty, and her new self-published mini-comic, Dolltopia. She rocks out in her spare time with her bands Abbymatic and The Saturday Night Things. She loves New York, container gardening, and petting her cat, Slinky.

Dorothy Gambrell

Website: http://www.catandgirl.com
Dorothy Gambrell was born on Long Island like everyone else and moved to Brooklyn like everyone else. She has been drawing the wonderful, charming (and funny!) series "Cat and Girl" on the Internet since 1999. She is afraid of dogs and house fires.

Jenny Gonzalez

Website: http://www.angelfire.com/ny3/devildoll/
A cartoonist/illustrator and a rockin' singer, New York resident Jenny Gonzalez has contributed to the multi-cartoonist 9/11 paperback, Legal Action Comics and Friends of Lulu's Broad Appeal book, among several other wild works. To check out her comic Too Negative and her other stuff, stop by her Web site.

Tintin Pantoja

Website: www.mentaltentacle.com
Tintin Pantoja is an artist/writer, and the creator of weekly Webcomics, including the fantasy story Sevenplains (featuring Loop Garrote and ancient, immortal beasts sleeping underground...!) and Jayananda. She is also a New York City student and would love for you to look at her stories and artwork on her website.
