Robert Field

Robert Field was born in New York City in 1961. His illustration career spans more than 20 years. His work has appeared in numerous publications and gallery exhibitions. From 1986 to 1999 he worked as a biomedical illustrator at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. Currently he is a freelance illustrator, having moved away from technical medical-related art to focus on a more satirical, humorous style of illustration, which has always been his trademark.

He has also taught illustration and graphic design at several colleges including: Nassau Community College, Long Island University, New Jersey City University, and Briarcliffe College. He is a graduate of Long Island University/ C.W. Post Campus, earned a Master's degree from Syracuse University, and is a member of the Society of Illustrators. He lives on Long Island with his wife, Lisa, their son, Matthew, and is a diehard New York Rangers hockey fan.
