It says on Malcolm Earle's website "Max the Black Rabbit may be between the ages of 16 and 75. Max lives from the upper regions of Canada to the lower regions of the United States. Black Rabbit likes all foods, has no allergies and constantly switches from rich to poor in a matter of days. Max loves to trade art but will accept money if forced on him. Black Rabbit draws cheesecake and more whenever it pleases him. Max is everywhere but draws in one place, home. Black Rabbit is crazy but sane enough. Max is the fans, the fans are Max. Black Rabbit draws in many different styles but all are familiar. Max is unique, just like everybody else..."

His website has won the Planetfurry.com Award of excellence and the Http://furry.arts Excellent Furry Art Award.

Although he is not the creator of a web comic his character, ZigZag, is one of the stars of another webcomic, Sabrina Online.

Beside ZigZag, Max has created many beloved characters for the fandom such as Chrystler & Thomson, Sunny and Tantrum Bunny, and Maxine.
