Nth Degree
Michael D. Pederson
Mike Pederson is the publisher/editor/graphic designer responsible for the wildly successful semiprozine, Nth Degree (www.nthzine.com). Mike began life as a semi-pro in 1988 when his SF short story, “Dust Storm,” won first place in a local writing contest. In the 1990s he wrote and published the Raven comic book series and edited and published Scene, a Virginia-based entertainment magazine. Being part of the “Best in Class – Master Division”
winning presentation (Pre-Emptive Strike) at the Millennium Philcon Masquerade re-invigorated his interest in fandom. Since then Mike has attended over 50 conventions with Nth Degree.

Catherine Pederson
Cate Pederson is the Managing Editor of Nth Degree, the Fiction & Fandom ’
Zine. Responsible for operations, the website (www.nthzine.com) and business finances, Cate helps ensure that each issue of the semiprozine hits its marks with readers and advertisers. When she’s not focused on the world of publishing, Cate is a Senior IT Director for the Public Broadcasting Service in Alexandria, VA. And when she’s not doing that, she’s probably playing poker.

Robert Balder
Rob Balder regularly contributes fiction, poetry, comics, and filks to the pages of Nth Degree. He is also the creator of the clip-art comic strip PartiallyClips (www.partiallyclips.com), which runs weekly in 10 US newspapers. In late 2002, Rob teamed up with Pete Abrams of the wildly popular webcomic Sluggy Freelance to create “Get Nifty,” a standalone card game themed around Pete’s comic. The card game is expected to be available in the second half of 2004. Rob’s first dead-tree collection of PartiallyClips, The Ball is Afraid, has recently been issued by Plan Nine Publishing.
