| In the world of Canadians who play accordion for a living and draw
webcomics Ghastly truly stands out ahead of the pack. "Ghastly's
Ghastly Comic" (http://ghastlycomic.com) assembles a diverse cast of characters ranging from a 70s blaxploitation film star trapped in the 21st century, to an incomprehensible transgender otaku, to a wee young tentacled beastie who dreams of being a "zipper ninja" and centres them around a Hamilton pub called "The Spanked Monkey". Through his comic Ghastly explores (and by "explores" we mean "makes fun of") the cliches of Japanese manga and anime, particularily those that involve tentacle monsters and the women who love them. This will be Ghastly's convention debut so please be kind and
make no sudden movements. Warning: the first three rows are in
the spash zone. |
