Children's Programming

bulletGuests

Come see what I-CON has to offer our littlest members!

Children's Programming will be hosting several age appropriate workshops and activities designed to entertain and amuse. We will also be offering a wide range of free form hands on crafts, writing, games, storytellers, and costuming events.  These activities will be available throughout the day during Saturday and Sunday so we can appeal to kids of all ages, interests, and attention spans.

Some Important Notes:

bulletPlease keep in mind that Children's Programming will not be providing child care.
bulletChildren under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
bulletNot all videos and programming shown at I-Con are appropriate for children.
bulletProgramming that is appropriate for children will be marked with a happy face in the pocket schedule.
bulletFor all other programming, parents are encouraged to use their discretion.

If you have suggestions and/or comments or would like to help please contact us at childrens@iconsf.org

This year Children's Programming will be inviting a number of guests to come join us this year.  Kevin "Doc" Conod will be demonstrating a fascinating look at telescopes and space.  Storytelling comes to life with DragonWynde's Celtic tales of magic and times long ago.  For the young author in you, Nancy "Nanna" Scuri will be holding interesting writing workshops.  The LI ScienCenter will be bringing a number of scientific surprises for all to see and demonstrate how physics and toys work together.  Tony Bianca and Eric Kern will be bringing along a few of their fuzzy friends to join in on our costuming events.  Expect a few other surprises being running throughout Saturday and Sunday!
